My love of photography started at fifteen on a trip to Hawaii with my parents. I was in charge of our new 35 mm camera, and by in charge I mean that I was the designated carrier. But who could take a bad picture in Hawaii? Not to mention there was a young photographer in our group who taught me the technical stuff and I was hooked. For years it has been a wonderful hobby.

I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and in 2000 I moved to Michigan to reinvent myself. I attended Wayne State earning degrees in both Graphic Design and Photography. While in school I started doing architectural photography for the graphic design agency I worked for. It was a great outlet for my passion, but I wanted more. I had always thought of myself as the shy kid and didn't think I had the courage to do portrait work, so I started doing pet photography. The spark had stirred. I started to see emotion in the eyes of the pets I was photographing. I wanted to capture that in people.

I decided that I was going to find a wedding or portrait photographer to mentor with. My thought was, I wasn't sure how to approach clients, but I would learn and learn I did. I was a good Jedi photog. After the first couple of weddings I was hooked. that shy kid of yesterday is long gone. I love telling a bride how beautiful she looks and kidding with the groom telling him, "you know it's all about her right, your just a prop?" I love capturing those once-in-a-life-time looks on a bride or grooms face. It makes me smile to see through my lens the couples expressing how in love they are. Even after all these years I get excited driving to the "get ready" place, anticipating what creative ideas will start to flow.

I'm grateful to my friends and fellow photogs who have supported me in my reinvention. I am doing what I love and loving what I do.

When I have a camera in my hand I know NO FEAR

A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people
